AIEEE Model Exam

The Hindu Education Plus and AIMS Education, an academic trainer and trusted companion to the student company, jointly organized the Fifth Edition of AIEEE Model Exam, on Sunday January 4, 2009 for students of Standard 12. In addition to 15 centres in Chennai this model exam was conducted in Coimbatore, Erode, Madurai, Salem, Tiruchi, Vellore, Neyveli, Tirunelveli and Pondicherry. This was followed by a discussion on January 11th at all the exam centers. This model exam is offered free of cost.

The mode of its conduct, the pattern and standard of question paper and the e-ready format of the response sheet were as per the actual AIEEE. The response sheets were evaluated using MSR and computer. An exposure before the actual AIEEE 2009, to the methodology of the exam, the pattern of the question paper, the unique features like negative marking for wrong answers, the syllabi and the weightage normally given to their different topics were of great help to the students. Eminent educationists headed by Dr. P.V. Navaneethakrishnan, former Director of Entrance Exams and Admission, Anna University constitute the team of resource persons.

Attractive I, II, III and IV prizes for the top rankers and certificates of merit for the high rankers were awarded during the Discussion and Award Session. The tricky and involved questions in the model paper and outside were discussed by experts with special emphasis on short cuts and wise cracking techniques which enabled the participants gain an edge over others in tackling such questions.
